Tannirbavi Beach

Tannirbavi Beach is located towards the southern end of Mangalore Port, which is at a distance of 12 Kms from Mangalore Railway Station. The Tannirbavi beach is the property of Mangalore port trust. This beach one of the best beaches of Mangalore city and among the top Mangalore tourist places.

Mangaladevi Temple

Mangaladevi Temple is located in Bolar which is at a distance of 3 Kms from Mangalore Railway Station. The word Mangalore is derived from Goddess Mangaladevi which is the main deity of the temple. In the 9th century this temple was built in the memory of Princess of Malabar Mangale. It is one of the top tourist places to visit in Mangalore. Mangaladevi temple has historical significance and rich heritage.

Kudroli Temple

Kudroli Temple is a famous temple in the city of Mangalore dedicated to Gokarnanatheswara, at a distance of 2.5 Kms from Mangalore Railway Station. It is the form of Lord Shiva. This temple was started in Karnataka by the Narayana Guru, the famous social reformer from Kerala. It is one of the top tourist places to visit in Mangalore city. Navarathri is the famous and eye catching lightings annual festival of this temple. The ninth day celebration is a grand procession of Durga similar to Mysore Dasara celebrations.

St. Aloysius Chapel

St. Aloysius Chapel is situated inside St. Aloysius College Ground located in the heart of Mangalore city. The walls of the chapel are covered with the beautiful paintings of the artist Antony Moshaini of Italy. The church was built in the year 1899-1900 by the Father Joseph Willy. It is one of the top tourist attractions in Mangalore.

Panambur Beach

Panambur Beach situated near the Mangalore Port and it is one of the most frequently visited Mangalore beach. It is one of the famous Mangalore tourist place. The beach offers very good views of the sunset in the evening. The beach attracts good number of visitors due to its close proximity to the Mangalore city. The beach offers water sports facilities and boating to the visitors. Panambur beach is famous for International Kite Festival conducted during April.

Pilikula Nisargadhama

Pilikula Nisargadhama is an eco-tourism destination with Zoo, integrated Park, Boating facilities and Botanical Garden. Park was established in 1990, which spread over 350 acres of land. The Zoo houses variety of animals like wild boars deer, snakes, tigers, lion, leopard, porcupines and few birds. Botanical Garden had about 15,000 different types of plants and flowers with Manasa Water Park.

Kadri ManjunathaTemple

Kadri Temple is one of the famous and beautiful temples in Mangalore. The deity of the temple is Sri Manjunatha, which an incarnation of Lord Shiva. This temple is one of the best places to visit in Mangalore. In temple, there is a natural spring on the backside of the temple, which called as Gomukha. The water from this spring flows into 7 ponds with different sizes. Devotees and tourists come here and wash themselves before entering the main temple.

Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple

Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple was located near Permude and is a holy temple situated in the middle of the sacred Nandini River. Goddess Durga is the presiding deity of this beautiful temple. Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple

Sri Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple is located in the heart of the Mangalore city. It is an ancient temple with the 800 years of history. Rathosthava & Deeposthava, Vinayaka Chaturthi are important festivals of the temple. It is also a renowned center for cultural activities such as dance, Yakshagana and drama.

Sulthan Battery

Sultan Battery is a watchtower built in 1784 by Tippu Sultan to watch the entry of warships into the Gurpur River and it is situated at Boloor. This place structure is built with black stones and looks like a mini fortress with arrangements for deploying cannons. The watch tower is beautifully made and provides panoramic view of the surroundings of Arabian Sea and Gurpur River. This watchtower is recently renovated by Archeological Survey of India.
